John Loercher, CPHC
John Loercher is a Professor of Architecture, CPHC instructor for the Passive House Institute U.S. and owner of Northeast Projects LLC. He is a Certified Passive House Consultant and holds a Masters of Architecture from Parsons the New School for Design. He specializes in high performance building and design with a focus on passive systems and an interest in the ongoing history of energy conservation trends in the Architecture, Construction and Engineering (AEC) industry.

Northeast Projects was founded in 2017 in the Hudson Valley of New York state. Through local connections in the high-performance building industry and a reputation of success, it quickly became the consultant for a larger percentage of certified passive buildings in the region. Northeast Projects is a registered Primary Energy Consultant (PEC) for NYSERDA and offers support services from design to post-occupancy data monitoring and analysis throughout the Northeast and beyond.
Northeast Projects has been recognized by NYSERDA and the Buildings of Excellence competition for both North Miller Passive I and II. It continues to demonstrate the design excellence required to deliver projects that will set the bar for the rest of New York State and the rest of the country. Northeast Projects' mission for a sustainable future is centered around strengthening community resiliency, which starts with a sustainable, healthy and durable building stock.
